It's always my response as well, so then my husband and I can think up an excuse not to do whatever it is together lol.

shes absolutely right. I have and my response to that is, " yes, I ask his "permission" because if he does not want me to do it, or, wear it, or, go to certain places, I will not be doing it"

depends on the situation. if one of us is working we don't ask. but if we're not working we ask.

Not only do I ask him (when I know I’m the one who plans all the things) but he ALWAYS checks with me first to make sure we didn’t have plans he forgot or didn’t know I made.

also quite frankly he is my favorite person. I would rather him be there. or I would rather get his feedback and advice. I think if you think that means he is controlling because I check with him first then that's a you problem.

It’s a respect thing all day long. It’s also a consideration thing. And im not a perfect person. What if we had made plans and I didn’t remember the correct date or he’s planned a surprise date night? It’s not me asking permission. It’s me taking him into consideration because I know he would do the same for me!

My husband just asked me what "we" are doing tomorrow because he needed to finish up a job. he wasn't asking me for permission. Goes both ways.

if it's plans for the family absolutely and it goes on the calendar....and I'll have to remind him Hahaha when I draw the calendar out for the month lol but also if it's just my plan with no kids involved like they are at school and it's my day off I'm going to let him know where I'm going and who I'm with... it's not so much permission it's more like hey babe imma do this or I'm going here.... does that make sense

Honestly, I hear it as the other way around where it's the husband is asking the wife.

it's my automatic response " Not a clue, let's me ask my husband and I'll let you know" 🤣
it's so mind boggling that people don't see it as a respect thing anymore

I say, let me talk to my fiancé. It's about mutual respect and communication. I expect that from him; I should be willing to give the same.

I don’t ask anything, I decide if I’m going to do it or not. Then I tell hubby what I’m going to do…
