@lostson350: Almost everyone has overchased someone at some point. Maybe you double-texted. Maybe you kept initiating. Maybe you kept giving chances long after the other person stopped matching your effort. The good news? You don't get your power back by making them regret losing you. You get it back by returning to yourself. --- 1️⃣ FULL STOP The first step is simple, but it's often the hardest. Stop reaching out. Stop checking if they've viewed your story. Stop finding reasons to text them. Stop creating opportunities for contact. If someone knows how you feel and still isn't showing up, more effort from you won't change that. Sometimes the most powerful move is doing absolutely nothing. --- 2️⃣ FEEL THE SHAME WITHOUT BECOMING IT A lot of people look back and cringe. "I can't believe I begged for the bare minimum." "I can't believe I kept chasing someone who wasn't choosing me." But beating yourself up won't heal you. Instead of judging yourself, get curious. You were looking for love, connection, certainty, or validation. That's human. Learn the lesson without turning it into your identity. --- 3️⃣ RECLAIM YOUR ATTENTION Overchasing is exhausting because it puts your focus on someone else's thoughts, feelings, and actions. Now it's time to bring that energy back. Go back to the gym. Reconnect with friends. Start that project you've been putting off. Read the books sitting on your shelf. The goal isn't distraction. The goal is remembering that your life is bigger than one person. --- 4️⃣ LET THE SILENCE DO THE WORK Many people keep talking because they're uncomfortable with uncertainty. But silence reveals things that words never can. Silence reveals who genuinely misses you. Silence reveals who only enjoyed the attention. Silence reveals whether there was real interest or just convenience. You don't need to force clarity when time is already providing it. --- 5️⃣ REFRAME WHAT HAPPENED Instead of saying: "I embarrassed myself." Try saying: "I learned where my boundaries need work." Instead of: "I wasted my time." Try: "I gained information that will help me make better choices." Every experience teaches you something if you're willing to look for the lesson. --- 6️⃣ THE NEXT TIME THE URGE TO CHASE COMES, ASK YOURSELF WHAT YOU REALLY WANT Do you want them? Or do you want attention? Validation? Closure? A relationship? A fantasy you've created in your head? Sometimes we're not actually chasing the person. We're chasing how we hope they'll make us feel. And once you understand that, it becomes much easier to choose yourself. --- Overchasing doesn't mean you're weak. It usually means you cared more than you should have, ignored signs you shouldn't have, or kept trying to earn something that should have been given freely. The lesson isn't to become cold. The lesson is to stop chasing people who aren't moving toward you. --- Have you ever caught yourself overchasing someone? What finally made you stop? 👇🏽

I believe what you ment to say was block them, and find someone who you don’t have to chase and let the avoidants of the world have each other 😂

I stopped and allowed God to begin healing me. I left it in God’s hands. Everybody has to reap what they sow and when you do wrong to people, you will feel the raft of the Lord!!!!
