Literally my biggest cheat code as a postpartum doula doing over nights. I left it down just long enough for them to fall asleep and I would gently pull it up so there was no risk

In the UK this is unsafe sleeping for a baby. The recommendation is that their heads are uncovered when sleeping indoors as they are less able to regulate their temperatures and wearing a hat may make them overheated and increase risk of sudden infant death syndrome.

Time and time again, the moments I thought I couldn’t continue have become the moments that changed me most. I found yoga when my mental health was at rock bottom. It gave me somewhere to breathe, somewhere to feel safe, and eventually opened a world of wisdom and connection I never knew existed. Years later, yoga is a huge part of my life — and something I now get to teach. Finding this old video of me practising while in a psychiatric hospital hit differently this time. Because I’m in another season of things changing, falling away and not entirely making sense yet. And it reminded me that some of the most meaningful things in my life were built during chapters I thought were breaking me. I would never tell someone that everything happens for a reason. Sometimes things are just fucking hard. But I do believe we can make something from what happens to us. So maybe the takeaway isn’t to be grateful for every breaking point. Maybe it’s to remember that you don’t know what you’ll build from here yet.
