I have my automatic screen dimmer off yet my phone does it anyways at random points during the day. When I go out in the sun, I can’t see my screen at all.

it’s a feature to help stop your phone from overheating. No you cannot turn it off. no turning off he auto dim will not stop it.

Settings > accessibility > display and text size swipe all the way to the bottom and disable auto-brightness
