I LOVE this …. My mama fought me until her literal dying day. She was 75 and the day she died she said, I hope you find a good man to take care of you. You have no clue how that still hurts my heart to this day.

Well, I have a story I worked as a cook at a restaurant I worked with his beautiful waitress. Her name was Amanda. She kinda looked like Megan Fox. Well, my son came in because it was his birthday and the restaurant was also a retail store so I told him he can go get a toy or a game so when Amanda heard it was his birthday, she gave me a kiss on the forehead and wished him a happy birthday when he got in the car with his dad, he said that I felt kind of tingly when Amanda gave me a kiss I think I love her so my husband said so you like girls because oh yeah so that’s how we do take care didn’t say you were straighter K said you like girls and by the way, my daughter like girls too

I knew my daughter was gay when she was 6. When she almost died of an overdose at 15 rather than live as a gay person I had to make her know that I loved her the same no matter what!!

You didn’t put them in- society did. They will still stress about telling you because so many people have negative experiences. This is an excellent frame, but be prepared for it to still feel hard for your kiddos. All 3 of my kiddos struggled, even after watching us unquestionably accept the others.

When my youngest son was 10 he announced he was bi sexual. We were sitting in a restaurant with several family members around. While the other family members laughed nervously and looked around to see who heard. I looked straight at him and said "and that's fine. Keeping your options open sounds good to me."

Back in the day when I was a closed off, cold hearted conservative, I said the same thing about my kids. Now, I am a proud father of my gay daughter who, with her masters degree, is not only a lead scientist for a medical science company, but went to school in 2 top universities in the UK and is loving her best life with her partner there and I couldn’t be happier for her.
