@crmnallyobsessed: After 15 years behind bars, a man who burned his brothers and father to death is up for parole. But his sisters want him to stay in prison for the rest of his life. On December 7, 2011, Webster, New York police and firefighters responded to reports of a deadly fire. Inside the home they found the bodies of 71-year-old Carmen Pilato and his sons, 16-year-old Peter and 12-year-old Joshua Pilato. Police would go on to arrest and charge Carmen’s third son, 15-year-old Michael Pilato, with their murders. In a 2012 police interview, Michael admitted to having a history of taking copious amounts of drugs like marijuana, oxycodone, and cocaine, as well as having anger management issues. He stated that he wasn’t thinking about what would happen if he burned down the house, but did it because he wanted to release his anger and emotions. On July 12, 2013, he was found guilty of second-degree murder, second-degree murder linked to arson, attempted murder, and arson. Very few family members supported Michael during the trial. His mother, Elaine Pilato, supported him despite push back from his sisters, Jen Pilato and Angel Pilato-Shuman. Elaine passed away in 2019. Now Michael is up for parole with his biggest support no longer here to speak in favor of him.
