How can a country ban a study method? It's like banning a way of perceiving. Can't be done. 🤔

When you file something in your brain wrong, it's difficult to fix it. So no, guessing terribly doesn't work. It trains your brain to remember false information.

Try doing that with a history textbook or a medical book. You cannot write what might be under the headings or subheadings if you havent read it atleast once before

Am I a weirdo for going to the questions at the end of a section or chapter, writing my answers, then reading the material to see if I was correct, or where I was wrong or incomplete?

Yeah, sure. The method might work for some people, but I highly doubt a country would put a ban it can't enforce on something that isn't cheating, but improves students performances.

It basically follows the concept that you learn from your mistakes, so create an environment where you make more mistakes

It may work to a certain degree, but definitely not if you are studying quantum physics or kant philosophy or brain surgery

I’ll stick to Cornell Notes. Back before Cornell became synonymous with bad. Maybe Ithaca Notes 🤷‍♂️

I disagree. Once you wrote it down it is difficult to override your initial thinking.

This method for me would work and fit perfectly. It’s a great idea and way to learn, discover and remember 😊

Exams based on short-term memory are a complete waste of time and all this convoluted approach does is help that. We need to teach and celebrate critical thinking and innovation.

I study by reading.... Remembering and writing out as many times as it takes to Stick.... I'm 60 now I wish I'd read this half a century ago. Makes sense to me
