A+ then (if you’re confident in your networking knowledge skip A+) SEC+ then focus on your specialty and go for those certs

Start with CCNA then get a sec+. All this advice telling you to get net+ then sec+ then CCNA make no sense. There will be huge overlap between CCNA content and sec+ content, and it will teach you the content way better than net+ can.

Boyz I’ve done helpdesk (support analyst) and grounds on feet (IT tech now) with some basic Microsoft certs and an AA degree. What’s next besides bachelors and limited certs

Net+ since it’s vendor neutral. If you wanna have the equivalent of a networking “masters degree” get your CCNA

You need to put your focus into building a portfolio around what ever cybersec job you want. Certifications look pretty on a resume but 9 times outta 10 the only thing that’s gonna get you the job is actually knowing how to do the job. Certifications are just theoretical knowledge doesn’t mean you know what you’re doing.

Honestly, if your fairly confident in your tech skills and have a decent bit of experience with projects or work, skip the A+ for for the net+ then do what it tailored to what you want to do

whats your current experience level? that makes a huge difference in what certs will be good to go for. I tend to hire people with more hands on rather than certs since certs it's easy to be book smart and cram but people with hands on home labs tend to be able to ace interviews and explain approaching problems very differently. A+ is the basic essentials of computing NET+ is for networking and basic security ideal if you want to get into network support or grow towards network design Sec+ is good once you have a foundation and know about networking as well as basic security, I actually prefer GSEC instead of S+
