My husband is my only friend. Every single other person left me. I feel so bad for him every day. I feel physical and mental pain but the guilt I feel for him having to “deal” with me is 10x more painful.

I was hit by an 18 wheeler on Christmas Eve 2018 and after my spine got screwed and fused back together, my husband decided to cheat on and divorce me because I “was always in pain” and “never wanted to do anything fun anymore”

I’ve gotten so much sicker and we spend so much time in hospitals and drs offices. Days stuck in bed, chores all on him, and never once does he complain. Never once has he made me feel anything but supported and loved. He’s my best friend.

So so so true. When I was first diagnosed I had a entire army behind me but when I didn’t get better in like 3 months or less because I’m terminally ill the most of them but less than a handful are gone now.

I’m sole caregiver to both disabled elderly parents. Gave up my job, my insurance basically my life to move in with them and be chef, chauffeur, maid, butler. Even if I could have afforded it NO WAY would I put them in a home. I have two brothers that I haven’t seen in YEARS because they don’t want the responsibility. Even just to let me have a night or two to get away. When mother says thanks, it sounds like an effort…she expects it. Dad, when he says it I can tell he really means it, that he’s truly grateful.

My husband and kids have been there when it's been so difficult for them to show up, when they're exhausted too, when they've been sick, when I don't feel like living anymore, when my complaints they've heard a million times already. I wouldn't be here without them right now.

I faced a lot of medical neglect and downplaying of my illnesses in my childhood and early adulthood. It wasn’t until last year that I was diagnosed with a few chronic illnesses. After years of suffering in silence. I was scared to ask for help and accommodations, but my bf stepped up. He does whatever he can to help me. I’m truly so grateful for him 💖
