At a surgical center and not a hospital? Traumas don't go to surgery centers as far as I'm aware.

I’m sorry… a FEE for FMLA paperwork? WHAT? That’s their job, wdym? I had EIGHT cancer surgeries and I was never ever charged for FMLA paperwork.

I wish ALL PPO’s would implement what my husbands ins policy does (he also works for a union) if we meet our ded and/or OOP between Aug-Dec it rolls over the following year and we don’t have to start all over, as someone who works in the ins field (me) my benefits through my employer aren’t even that good hence why i don’t even take the ins offered to me.

wait a second. they "had traumas" come in on friday leading to it being canceled for monday but somehow the doctor won't be there for the WHOLE month of September? sounds like Dr is going in vacation and is claiming traumas as an excuse

The nicotine is so one recovers properly and quickly from surgery. Esp the feet where blood flow is lesser than other parts of the body ❤️

As a Canadian, this is all so confusing. I need surgery, I go to the hospital and get the surgery. 😳 Cannot imagine all that paperwork and fees etc

As a type A planner too I hate when surgeries get pushed like this. I understand why but I’m the same as you: if I had it’s on my calendar I have everything built around that date and it’s not moving 😂😂

As a Canadian with free healthcare, I find it so confusing with co-pay, co-insurance fee, Dr.’s fee, out of pocket etc. in Canada all the pre-op stuff but no money is needed to be discussed. Just hand over my medical card and there you go.

The night before my scheduled spay surgery there was a big winter storm in TX, the woman after me decided to reschedule so we moved me to midday and we would decide in the morning if the roads were ok to proceed. Did not help my anxiety at all to have it this undecided but I was all prepared for it, food precooked and all 😹😹

It's mind blowing as an Australian how complicated this is? if this was in Australia, surgery booked, notify employer time off required. No negotiation with insurances. Surgery needs to be rebooked, notify employer of change to leave dates. That's it. How you manage navigate this conveluted system in the US is insane!

Very proud of you for being nicotine free👏. I’ve watched my mom try for many many years, I know that’s not easy at all.

for the nicotine I believe it is because of the anesthesia. it messes with your heart rate and things like that I believe

I don’t know what’s being done to your feet. But my mom was able to do both of feet at the same time. And she is old and elderly and lives on the second floor. Maybe you can do both also.
