I never thought badly of them until social media showed exactly how they think and speak of us. Finding out their media has been pushing all these crazy US stereotypes for decades was also really surprising, but it explained the word-for-word repeated comments I kept seeing. My question now is why the media (not just in the UK) purposely caused this division. Not sure what their endgame is.

Honestly I don’t think most Americans even think about the British at all. The way that the world absolutely LOVED when they came to the FIFA games and toured the country and took social media by storm saying how wonderful it is here was everywhere. We had no idea they had been trash talking us for decades.
