@crmnallyobsessed: 21-year-old Treylyn Hill of Beaumont, Texas made one of the more gutsy moves one could make in court: representing himself. Spoiler alert: it didn’t work out. Hill was on trial for aggravated robbery. In 2024, Hill responded to an online ad for a man wanting to sell an AR-15. Hill met up with him, then pointed a handgun at the victim, took the rifle, and fired multiple shots from the handgun when the man decided to follow Hill. The victim was shaken but unhurt. After the first day of the trial, Hill fired his court appointed lawyer in favor of representing himself. When it came to his law experience, he explained that he grew up watching shows like CSI and Law & Order. Judge Raquel West tried telling him this was a bad idea but he continued nonetheless. He was eventually found guilty and sentenced to 40 years in prison, which should give him plenty of time to get an actual law degree. #LawAndOrder #CSI #CrimeNews #TexasCrime
