I think youre misrepresenting this in today's terms. its mot a flat term for a hobby , it is "what makes your heart burn with emotion, what brings yearning to the level of addiction, what makes your soul ignite with the light that has always existed inside of you" it is a very serious term not a "flat" word used for hobbies. something you are passionate about is the meaning of life, not a pass time that brings a modicum of joy.

I feel this is similar to a video i made. Hunger vs passion. With hunger you either get fed or you starve to death, however hunger is able to build a reoccurring action which we call discipline. Passion is to do something you love so much that whether you win or lose you still to continue to do it. this builds devotion. The difference between a disciplined person and a devoted person is that ,the disciplined are willing to put their body on the line ,where devoted people are prepared to lose it.
