I love my Zepbound. I wish my insurance covered it.

So if you’ve had success on Wegovy and are in maintenance, is there a benefit to switching to this for maintenance? Or do you just stick with what you’re on? I don’t have heart disease but it’s in my family.

So… like include a PREVENT score, calcium score!? What do I put in the PA. I send it in and the insurer is like… “whaaaa, I haven’t heard about that, let me look into it… right after I deny this PA”

Since dulaglutide doesn’t show as much weight loss as tirzepatide, it may point that the CV benefits are not as dependent on weight loss and that it’s likely the anti-inflammatory effects on the body.

I remember when my husband was diagnosed with T2D his provider said “well, we need to manage your A1C to prevent as many complications as we can, but unfortunately the cardiovascular risk we can’t do a whole lot about to prevent that”. Now roughly 15 years later we are doing something about it! I remember thinking “this is how I lose him someday”. Now his A1C is 6.5, his cardio health is good, I might just get the chance to lose him to some stupid accident or old age instead!

I have used MJ for 3 years and after 1, I lost 25kg and my cardiologist did an echo and advised me that my heart had shrunk by 1cm back to normal size and my risk of heart diseases is now greatly reduced. I also used to have atrial fibrillation a lot and ended up having the ablation and have had zero episodes since. So losing the weight has definitely helped my heart health
