Also - It was the golden era of ‘going out’. It was the thing to do. How to meet and date you had to go to a club. Now you do it on your phone and also people can’t afford to go out 3/5x a week. We didn’t have iPhones so it was socially very different

I worked on a multi Emmy award show in the 80’s. The business now is unrecognizable. Streamers killed it, particularly Netflix. A business model that doesn’t work.
