THE FATHER, THE SON, THE HOLY SPIRIT AND THE VESSEL — CHRIST IN THE MIDST OF HIS BORN-AGAIN LITTLE ONES. . 1. THE BORN-AGAIN LITTLE ONES This spiritual gathering concerns Christ's born-again little ones, the children of God who have received their light from God and have been brought from darkness into His light. Jesus said: “Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.” — John 3:3 KJV And: “Ye are the light of the world.” — Matthew 5:14 KJV For: “in thy light shall we see light.” — Psalm 36:9 KJV The light received by God's children comes from God through Christ, and the born-again child becomes a vessel through which that light may be revealed. . 2. TWO OR THREE GATHERED IN CHRIST'S NAME Jesus declared: “For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them.” — Matthew 18:20 KJV This gathering is in His name. Therefore there is a difference between people merely talking about Jesus and Christ's children gathering together and calling upon His name in faith. A person may hear the name of Jesus and speak about Jesus, but calling upon His name comes with believing on Him: “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” — Romans 10:13 KJV And: “that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.” — Romans 10:9 KJV Therefore the born-again children call upon Jesus because they believe on Him. . 3. SPEAKING ABOUT JESUS AMONG THE VESSELS When one born-again vessel speaks with another vessel about Jesus, the conversation can become a testimony of Christ. When two or three of Christ's little ones speak together concerning Jesus and gather in His name, His promise remains: “there am I in the midst of them.” — Matthew 18:20 KJV The number of vessels does not create Christ's presence. Christ Himself is the one who is present. The vessels speak of Him, call upon His name, worship Him, and bear witness of the light they have received from God. . 4. BELIEVING BEFORE CALLING UPON HIS NAME The Scripture joins believing with calling: “For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.” — Romans 10:12 KJV Then: “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” — Romans 10:13 KJV And Paul asks: “how then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed?” — Romans 10:14 KJV Therefore faith precedes the true calling upon Christ's name. The born-again child believes on Jesus, calls upon Jesus, speaks of Jesus, and gathers with others in His name. . 5. THE FATHER AND THE SON ARE ONE Jesus said: “I and my Father are one.” — John 10:30 KJV And: “I am in the Father, and the Father in me.” — John 14:10 KJV Jesus also said: “We will come unto him, and make our abode with him.” — John 14:23 KJV The child of God therefore receives Christ's words and walks in the light given by God. . 6. THE VESSEL — THE TEMPLE OF GOD The born-again child is God's temple: “Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?” — 1 Corinthians 3:16 KJV And: “Your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you.” — 1 Corinthians 6:19 KJV The flesh is therefore the vessel, while God's Spirit dwells within His child. . 7. GOD IS A SPIRIT Jesus declared: “God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” — John 4:24 KJV The born-again child therefore worships God through the spirit and in truth. One vessel may worship. Two vessels may worship together. Three may gather in Christ's name. Many may gather as one body in Christ. . 8. CHRIST'S SPIRIT IN HIS CHILDREN Scripture speaks of “the Spirit of God” and “the Spirit of Christ” (Romans 8:9 KJV). Jesus said: “I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you.” — John 14:18 KJV Christ therefore remains with His born-again little ones through the Spirit. .
