I’m a collegiate bass/contrabass clarinetist. Been asked “is that a long clarinet” (Basically?), “why is your clarinet fancier than theirs” (idk they wanted an italic version or sum like that), “Is that a black saxophone?” (No comment), “why do you have two different sized bass clarinets” (valid, one was a contralto), and “What the heck is that thing” (specifically for my low C paperclip. Honestly also valid)
