My prism glasses haven't stopped my joints from dislocating, my skin from breaking and bruising, my muscles from guarding my joints, my tissues from swelling because moving fluid out and up has more resistance than my connective tissues. My prism glasses also haven't fixed my issues from CCI. They have fixed *some* of my headache issues and *some* of my issues with reading and seeing depth.

Unfortunately insurance does not cover and it didn’t make a difference for my hEDS. :(

My eye Dr said it’s not that I had bad eyesight. It’s just that my eyes autofocus going from near to far sight was just tired. The weak connective tissue just couldn’t keep up. Started wearing progressive lenses and suddenly I have way less headaches and vertigo!

If someone has BVD, can it be fixed with vision therapy? We’re fighting to get my 16-yr old prism glasses, the dr says no for minors, only vision therapy. (But what tf is he supposed to do in the meantime??)

Immediately ran to the eye doctor after learning this. Turns out I need a 7 prism in each eye and it’s very hard to get use to. But it is insane how different the world looks

Doctors realizing that a lot of disabled people do NOT have savings, and therefore need luck, or something short of a miracle to save enough money to get an aide like this in a reasonable amount of time
