Michael Douglas has spent six decades as one of Hollywood’s biggest stars. But in his new memoir, he says the life behind the spotlight was far more complicated than the public ever knew. In *One Helluva Ride*, the 82-year-old actor opens up about childhood ab*se, addiction struggles, an affair with Kathleen Turner and the painful relationships that shaped him. He says he finally wanted to tell his story “on my own terms.” One of the hardest chapters was his relationship with his father, Kirk Douglas. Michael says he and his younger brother were afraid of their father growing up and recalled being hit when they made mistakes. He says those experiences damaged his confidence and made it difficult to become close to Kirk until later in life. The memoir also reveals a surprising chapter from Michael’s college years, when he says he dealt marijuana to help pay his expenses after the money his father gave him proved insufficient. Then comes the revelation that may shock fans most. After decades of denying rumors, Douglas now admits he had an affair with Kathleen Turner while filming *Romancing the Stone*. He says their relationship developed while his marriage was already struggling. He also writes openly about alcohol and substance abuse, eventually entering rehab in 1992. Yet underneath all the fame, mistakes and controversies is a man trying to understand the choices that shaped him. His memoir is not the polished Hollywood version of his life. It is Michael Douglas finally showing what was behind the curtain. #MichaelDouglas #HollywoodNews #CelebrityNews #KathleenTurner #onehelluvaride
