Sisterhood in witchcraft is everything. The witch may be popular in modern culture now. She is in our movies, our books, our fashion, our social media feeds. But those of us who have walked this path for years know that actually being a witch can be an incredibly lonely road. So many of us learned to walk it alone. We were the women who felt different. A little strange. A little too much. A little too curious about the things no one else seemed to understand. We learned, practiced, questioned, searched and found our way without always having someone beside us who truly got it. And then somehow, in a world of billions of people, I found Stella. Across an ocean. Across the world in Australia. Through social media of all places. And sometimes I think about how impossible the odds of that must have been… and yet, somehow, it feels like there was nothing accidental about it. Because there is something sacred about finding another woman who speaks the same strange language your soul has been speaking your entire life. Someone you don’t have to make yourself smaller for. Someone you don’t have to explain the witch in you to. Someone who will stand beside you in the magick and in the very human messiness of life. That kind of sisterhood is sacred. And I think there are so many witches still out there walking alone, wondering where their sisters are. Maybe she is across town. Maybe she is across the country. Maybe, like mine, she is on the other side of the world. But I believe we are meant to find one another. We just have to be brave enough to let ourselves be seen. To put ourselves out there.
