My name is Kaysun (this is a vent) I don’t really talk abt this much but I needa talk abt, it when I was younger me and my brother were taken by foster care and there was this one home we were living at and it was absolutely horrible they would literally not even let me and my brother talk to each other if we didn’t do something right there “grounding” insisted of us getting locked in our rooms by ourselves and if they were feeling extra cruel they would strip me down to my boxers and soak us with water bottles to “cool me down” and not even give towels to dry off, our blankets were taken so we had no warmth these punishments went on for the whole time we were there which was 7 years, we weren’t allowed to talk to our mom and everyone we used to know either forgot abt us or thought we just moved away, they also would make me go to sleep in a tent in the middle of fall in Ontario with only a monster sweater that I cherished and that’s it, me and my brother were not allowed to be near each other because they didn’t want us to make a plan so we could tell ppl we got close so many times we told the CAS workers everything but they believed them over us, it came to the point where they were shaving our heads and making us unrecognizable, we weren’t allowed not allowed to talk to anyone from the outside world, I got out January 6th of 2025 and that was the day that I felt like I was an actual human again and I really appreciate everything in life 💯 more thanks for reading and sorry for ranting
