The coffee maker is horrible. It leaks and the buttons are weird. You think you’ve started a pot of coffee and come back and it’s not brewing. It ticked me off way too many times and went bye bye.

That condensation comes from the moisture in the food. You could always drape a cloth over the top before putting the lid on. Just make sure the towel doesn't drape down around the bottom where the heating element is.
