My mom does this intentionally. I valued organic and natural living since I was a teen. Well she always told me the Bible doesn’t command us to eat organic and would literally put organic food back on the shelves and say she doesn’t like it etc. until one day she told me about some young woman who she claims is my age and she cooks organic food (I’ve cooked for my mom many times and I’m a good cook) and it’s soooo good and she has learned so much from her. Etc etc. she has done this with everything. When we bought a nice house ten years ago she said she’d come see it. Then ignored my calls and a week later tells me her ex boyfriend’s niece got a new apartment and wanted her to see it so she went there instead. She also said the thanksgiving that I made quail for each individual person instead of a turkey that her new boyfriend whom we never met just made her quail that week and it was so good and better than mine. And in none of these scenarios did I get upset or understand the lies and the intention to hurt me at the time that it happened. Even recently I invited her once again to the local amusement park. She went on about how she went with my brother recently (it’s in my town). And I’ve invited her and him for years and we always have season passes. They’re such cruel people. Did the same when she was supposed to meet my now 3 year old (she still hasn’t) and last minute my brother invited her over that day and she went to see him instead. She’s bought him gifts on my birthday lol. She truly goes out her way to try to hurt me and it’s so odd. She’s a Christian though!

And they already have an answer for whatever your conversation is going to be because they only have specific topics that they'll discuss with you and everything that they are going to say is already rehearsed and planned so everything will be no no no no no no no no no and yeah, and then you see them with other people and even if they're limited and being present or in their knowledge, they're at least participating you know what I'm saying so it's not like they have some organic mental disorder. They're literally just telling you what they think about you which is really what they think about themselves.
