good god Robin hobb is overrated the main character is a depressing idiot who spends 80% of the first trilogy doing nothing of value and making mind numbingly dumb choices. its literally just endless drivel dialog wise.

I couldn’t get on with Hobbs writing style, I enjoy world building and character development by authors such as Tolkien but Hobb was a stretch for me

Finished Red Rising lately, it was insane read and journey, I think everyone who isn't allergic to sci-fi should read it. After longer rethinking I would even put it beside LoTR, GoT, Witcher and other peak classics
