Yeah, totally relatable, as a fellow adhder, who is not interested in stimulating meds anymore. I would make lists. Cross off things that you finish. Trust me. Just trust me. Break things down into steps-instead of “handle shit outside” write “move sheet wood.” “Move 2x4s” “move rug”. You will 💯 get a boost of dopamine and serotonin everytime you cross something off and it will give you the oomph for the next task. You might also get some relief for your mind, because when you have a sheet of paper holding everything that’s in your head, you don’t have to be anxious about holding onto the things in your head for fear things won’t get done. Write the list and then let it go, take some deep breaths through your nose and out through your mouth. When you feel calmer, just start 1 thing. You’ll bang it out and move onto the next thing and hopefully reach a flow state where you can just go mindlessly and let your list direct you. I promise you, this is one of the most effective systems I’ve found to get by while unmedicated. My doctor gave me the suggestion, then my therapist gave me the same suggestion, then my mom gave me the same suggestion. Don’t be like me, try it now, don’t wait for several people to tell you the same thing. Much love brother 🫶🏻 sidenote: not projecting on you or your life, just speaking from my experiences and what has worked for me. You got this.
