🚨🇳🇬 A SERIOUS WARNING TO NIGERIANS PLANNING TO COME TO INDONESIA 🇮🇩 Please listen carefully: DO NOT HAND YOUR MONEY TO ANY VISA OR TRAVEL AGENT WITHOUT VERIFYING EVERYTHING YOURSELF. Someone showing you a passport, visa, office, church membership, connections, or pictures of previous clients does NOT automatically mean they can be trusted. Before paying anybody, verify the visa process, demand proper documentation, keep your receipts and evidence, and confirm every job or travel opportunity independently. And please understand this clearly: DO NOT COME TO INDONESIA WITH THE EXPECTATION THAT YOU WILL SIMPLY ARRIVE AND FIND A JOB. Opportunities for foreigners are limited, and foreigners must follow Indonesian immigration and employment regulations. This message is also respectfully directed to the Nigerian Embassy and Nigerian community leadership in Indonesia. When an individual criticises an institution, DO NOT AUTOMATICALLY TAKE THE CRITICISM AS A PERSONAL ATTACK. Criticism should not create enemies. If somebody says, “The Embassy should do more,” the answer should not be anger. If somebody says, “Our community leadership should do better,” the response should not be intimidation, insults, division, or personal attacks. THE BEST RESPONSE TO CRITICISM IS RESULTS. Work harder. Communicate with the people. Educate newcomers. Create awareness about visa and immigration problems. Warn Nigerians about unverified agents and unrealistic job promises. Be transparent about what the Embassy and community can and cannot do. Then let the public see the work for themselves. Nobody should be above constructive criticism simply because they hold a position. Leadership comes with responsibility, accountability and public scrutiny. We are not speaking because we hate anybody. We are speaking because Nigerians are travelling abroad with their hard-earned money, dreams and expectations, and they deserve accurate information before making decisions that can affect their lives. If we criticise you today and you improve tomorrow, WE WILL ALSO BE THE FIRST TO ACKNOWLEDGE YOUR GOOD WORK. This is not about fighting the Nigerian Embassy.
