It’s alot of information u said i however dont think that he “created” hair trxture. He may have given names to something that already existed maybe thats what you mean. The video of my son hair is extremly zoomed in you can see the thickness and density.

i love your videos and appreciate your advice so much! i’ve always wondered, is moisture and protein overload a real thing? i see so many ppl say it and it feels like i have to now be careful what i buy and buy extra products to accommodate for both. i understand that you should never leave conditioner in your hair for long periods of time or basically leave your hair wet for long in general but is that moisture overload? pls lmk!!

Took me a minute but I’m following you. This has also been on my mind for a while. Because I feel like people focus so much more on the texture of curl than the shape that it’s actually making. While at the same time treating it based off the shape when they should be treating it based off the texture. If that makes sense. With that being said I think the system is a tad bit misleading.

This is really helpful. My hair is on the coarser side and doesn't form ringlets but my husband has fine hair and his does. If I do try to define it, it's a mix of fluff and tight waves/kinks. Idk where my hair falls on the chart so to me I just say it's kinky or type 4 🤷🏾

i resonate with this video a lot ! i don’t fit in any of the boxes of the typing system completely. my hair has some coils/curls but i do also have a lot of strands that go into straight + zig zag motions still coarse but doesn’t completely curl. a while back i would say 4c but people would just be like oh you just need to put gel in it. which kind of annoyed me 😭 so i resorted to just saying type 4 without the letters.

@Cherella Gooding: The 4abc hair type is indeed very confusing and all the products on the market with types … that sometimes I didn’t know want to use are to pick. Very confusing 🫤 I just have coarse hair … that’s what i live with
