To everyone asking. Fl and ableton can do both too. But fl and ableton can go a step further and steal the midis from loops, drum patters, velocity settings, swing, and drum midis. All the same tho lowkey. Just use your tools.

I did all the steps but then whenever I try to, I pull the keyboard up. I have all that ready and then whenever I try to play it, it doesn’t have any sound coming out.

It’s ironic how it is the absolute most friction-less way to sample in logic and especially compose / recording (I mostly record audio even to the MacBook Pro mic) It’s crazy that I’ve spent so much money and time with all analog gear to get off screen to make it “easier” and more fun… but funny enough - you can do it in flow so easily with just logic on a MacBook
