it stuns me how C137 immediately recognizes prime morty as his morty at the estate auction end of the episode. In a universe of infinite mortys he knows his own at a glance.

I will always be so angry at Beth for allowing this dynamic to go on as it has. Beth should have banned Rick from seeing Morty the moment he started taking him portal hopping

Oh my god thank you, i hate the victim blaming morty has been getting, people fr forget hes a literal child. He had absolutely NO basis for ethics and it was reinforced time and time again that “nothing matters”, and the only thing that kinda did matter was rick and morty. So of COURSE morty thinks rick is his, thats the basis of his entire reality

it's also been shown time and time again that Morty's can hate their Rick, Rick's can hate their Morty, along with both hating each other... and yet they're still a pair. Because infinitely, it's Rick and Morty. Ricks never move on from Diane, Morty's are manipulated into creation by ricks, and Rick had a Morty. they're as common as a penny. There's only ever been one Rick and Uli.

calling ur now. next season will be the last season. because the only way for the show to keep going is for it to keep going endlessly on the back of the dysfunctional relationship between Rick and Morty. I think next season Morty will decide to break the cycle and the show will be over.

What do you think about Summer and Rick's relationship? Everybody always talks about Beth and Rick or Morty and Rick, but I don't hear many people talk about those two

its so crazy to remember that not all infinities are equal. Even if she existed in all whole number universes than morty exists in all universes with up to 10 decimals or even more. its also kind of interesting that basic and simple Ricks tend to be happier. maybe ignorance is bliss

I thought the "infinitely" was tied more to the first statement
she asks "where on God's earth does a 14 year old boy learn this kind of mind poisoning?" and Morty responds "from your husband, infinitely" as in infinite versions of him learnt this toxicity from infinite versions of Rick

THANK YOUUUU I’m so sick of everyone acting like Morty is a terrible person instead of acknowledging he’s a deeply traumatized child!!! This isn’t Morty devolving in to Evil Morty, it’s his own self-awareness likely leading to a depressive spiral!!!

+ the fact that we are told (ad nauseum) that all morties are replaceable. morty knows this but in this episode he enacts the quiet part out loud: all ricks are too.
morty didnt need the portal gun, he needed the set of circumstances that create a true Rick in order to return to his reality- TO LITERALLY RETURN HIM TO THE CONTEXT IN WHICH HE IS RATIONAL!!
any rick can make a morty and, when push comes to shove, and morty can make a rick

Honeslty who else does Morty even have. his parents are pretty much absent to the ongoing of Morty's life or even care about the amount of danger he goes through. Summer only tolerates him half the time and even get more respect from Rick than Morty does. The only person who seems to actually spend time with Morty is Rick. Morty doesnt even have friends his own age. At least Rick wants him around, get annoyed but still keeps him around.

It’s a character juxtaposition between Morty in S1E6 and S9, showing his gradual desensitisation over time. In Season 1, he’s traumatised after having to bury his alternate self, whereas by Season 9, he knows exactly what is likely to happen and still deliberately allows events to unfold that way because it serves his goal. The contrast shows just how far Morty has changed from being horrified by that kind of reality to being capable of knowingly causing it.

It's important to understand that Morty has met literal hundreds of versions of himself, all attatched to Rick at the hip. This may be one of the only times he's ever seen a Rick without a Morty outside of the citadel. His Rick created an entire mutliverse where Rick is not only the most intelligent person in every universe, but also the most important person in the universe. Morty was wrong, Rick doesn't belong to Morty at all; Morty belongs to Rick.

my interpretation of the scene is that he’s saying “the mind poisoning” belongs more infinitely to morty rather than his wife. if you rewatch the scene, morty does not say HE. he is answering the wife’s question

I think its just him acknowledging that she’s not common in the multiverse. Every rick has a morty but this wife isnt any where to be seen with any other ricks. So he’s now thinking more like rick, in terms of the wider picture. He’s with rick in the whole infinite multiverse while she’s a special case

so I've yet to watch the most recent season in its entirety but I've seen the rest of the series and I feel it's not wild to read their dynamic as deep rooted emotional incest as Ricks seem to protect so many emotional issues directly tied to his wife into Morty? it's a fucked up cyclical hell of ricks own self destruction and spirals of hedonistic benders that Morty has to pull him from?
