I think a tiny hidden tag inside the side seam would be perfect, almost like a little “secret” label. You could also print the brand/care info directly onto the fabric so there’s no bulky or scratchy tag! For example, for bottoms it could be like under the belt loop/waistband or under the pocket flap. For tops it could printed directly onto the inside of the bottom hem

Put the text on the tag and put it on the back, but if it’s a skirt then I suggest you put it in a comfortable spot and when they do buy it then you could inform them or let them know that you put the tag there :)
