Boehler had stopped on Broad Street. A woman in a silver 2022 Mitsubishi waved him down. She said a white Porsche hit her car from the side. It pulled out from a lot north of White Road. She showed a photo of the Porsche and its plate. She said it parked at The Grove. Barnicle drove to The Grove lot to check. He spotted a white 2020 Porsche with the right plate. He walked up and talked to the driver. Her name was Nicole Husar. He asked if she hit another car. She opened the door. He smelled alcohol right away. He saw other signs of being drunk. He told her to step out for sobriety tests. He began with the eye test, Horizontal Gaze Nystagmus. Her eyes jerked. No smooth tracking. Jerks held at max turn. Jerks started before 45 degrees. Vertical jerks too, a big red flag. Next came Walk and Turn. She missed heel-to-toe steps. Her turn was all wrong. Then One Leg Stand. She held her foot low. She dropped it too soon. The crash, booze smell, and bad tests led to arrest for DWI. A search found a cup of white wine in her console. Barnicle took her to the Shrewsbury station. He read her the breath test form. She agreed to blow. Her level hit 0.184%. That's twice the 0.08% limit. She got these tickets: Operating under influence (39:4-50) Reckless driving (39:4-96) Careless driving (39:4-97) Following too close (39:4-89) Marked lanes (39:4-88) Open container (39:4-51B) Before this, on March 2, 2023, Nicole got cited in Long Branch for not reporting a crash and leaving the scene. She faced a second DWI arrest in Highlands on August 19, 2025.
