I actually just watched Red Rooms recently, and it was both brilliant and unnerving in a way that definitely felt too close to home in terms of the place we're at culturally. The actress did an incredible job of capturing the nuance of that desensitization. But it also begs the question, is being saturated with any and every kind of content warping peoples relationship to tragedy, or are the more warped among us just given the perfect environment in sensationalism and a content fueled society. Maybe its both. I honestly think she was already a sadist though, whereas the other young woman in the film represented that detachment you pointed out.

I’d add All About Lily Chou-Chou to this list. It’s set in the early era of internet chat rooms; and explores loneliness, isolation and parasocial relationships.
