I got into Naruto in the pandemic and when I used to see Sasuke hate I would cry 😭😭😭 Looking back that was unhinged to be so emotional over a pixel but I just felt alone in liking him so much and I'd see people who acted like he was this irredeemable monster in some corners of the Internet and they acted like he was beyond redemption so I felt bad about appreciating him as a character

I will defend my boy sasuke til the day I die! I have loved him as a character since I was 9 years old(26 now). Not to trauma dump but after watching my mother die in my arms at 13 I swear I feel so deeply connected to his character so much more. I wouldn’t care if he decided to burn every one alive they deserve it. They played in his face consistently for years! Literally what did you expect to happen when you traumatize and lie to a child over and over again while also training him to go be a child soldier. The world is extremely lucky that Naruto eventually changed his mind and they’re even more lucky that he didn’t change Naruto’s mind instead. They were both so deeply hurt by the village they wanted to protect. I wouldn’t blame either of them if they actually did wipe that shit out and start over again cause genuinely wtf
