The issue is whether it’s a person. A heart beat doesn’t make u a person. The ability to deploy a conscious experience does. Also the Bible treats a fetus as property not a person so the soul argument doesn’t work. But the debate is important bc it looks at when a person gains value, this is not a women only subject.

I believe women should be able to have abortions. Like you said, if they don’t want a child, it will lead to neglect. Also there are scenarios where 🍇 and stuff happens and having that kid would be terrible. That said, if a woman is having an abortion just because, then i think that is just morally wrong.

I think them being a person with a heartbeat and a soul is more than enough a reason as to why they deserve to live. The vast majority of abortions are for convenience reasons, which will never be morally ok.

lots of animals have heart beats, the distinction we make obviously is human sentience, this is pretty evident considering you wouldn't call doctors taking a human thats brain dead off life support a "murder" even tho they are technically still alive with a beating heart.
