i also was moved to kansas from the west coast. nobody understands thats there's truly nothing here. nobody wants to be friends with a rando because everyone else has known eachother since school so they have no reason to bring in strangers. there's no groups and no jobs unless you're a friend of a friend.

It sounds like your wife is depressed. She needs to seek therapy and you might need to relocate somewhere where there’s outdoors in nature experiences nearby. This is really crushing her as a person, not having her outlet.

As an adult I can say it's so hard to find people my age (early 20s) who aren't in college, live far, only want to drink/party, or are just weirdos. I try reaching out to people I was friends with in highschool but 99% of the time they never respond. Plus I struggle socially so that doesn't help either

i can’t get over the fact that he tried to get her to do indoor things, if your wife like outdoor thing why not ask her to go on a morning walk together? start doing bike rides? walk to the nearest park or gym just something active she actually likes
