@mothershipsg: Firdaus Daud, a 2025 General Election reserve candidate for the PAP, will be taking over the grassroots duties of former Acting Minister-in-charge of Muslim Affairs Faishal Ibrahim in the Kembangan ward. The 42-year-old lawyer will serve as the second grassroots adviser in the ward from Sep. 1, said Seah Kian Peng, MP for Marine Parade-Braddell Heights GRC, in a Facebook post. Seah told ST Firdaus will play a key role in matters concerning the Malay/Muslim community in Kembangan. He is currently the second grassroots adviser in Punggol GRC, but plans to relinquish this role soon to focus on Kembangan. Why the different treatment? Singaporeans deserve a clear and transparent explanation. The same rules must apply to everyone—no exceptions, no double standards.
