@graceinsight: Sometimes when people say, “There are no jobs in Canada,” I just keep quiet. 😂 Not because finding a job here is easy. It is NOT. But since I came to Canada, one thing I refused to do was sit down and wait for the “perfect” job. Cleaner? I worked. Caregiver? I worked. Food and hospitality? I worked. Childcare, youth work, PSW, dental assisting… Grace was MOVING. 😂😂 And volunteering? Ah! Don’t even play with me. From my early days in Canada till today, I’ve always volunteered somewhere. Somewhere along the way, I stopped being afraid of interviews too. I started understanding the system, and job offers started coming back to back. Now imagine the irony that I eventually started helping other people with the same thing. 😂 Canada has taught me something: Sometimes your first opportunity won’t look like where you’re going.
