or in other words…placki ziemniaczane✨ (i tried my best hehe) you’ll need: - 2 medium potatoes - 1/2 white onion - 1 egg - a pinch of salt & pepper - 1/2 cup plain flour - 2tbsp butter / oil for frying (to serve): - greek yogurt / soured cream - honey / sugar method: 1. begin by peeling the potatoes and washing them thoroughly. 2. peel the onion too and cut in half. 3. grate the potatoes and onion on the smallest setting on a large grater. 4. place the potato and onion mix into a sieve / paper tower and strain off the liquid (it’s okay if you leave some liquid, i just prefer less!). 5. combine the potato and onion mix along with the egg, flour and seasoning. 6. mix until thoroughly combined. 7. melt the butter (or oil) in a medium sized frying pan on a medium to low heat. 7. place about 2tbsp of batter per pancake onto the pan in a circular shape. 8. leave to cook for about 5-6 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. 9. flip over and cook for a further 5-6 minutes or until golden on each side! 10. repeat with the rest of the batter if you have any left. 11. serve whilst warm with a dollop of greek yogurt (or soured cream!) and a drizzle of honey (or sugar hehe)… enjoy!
