For those who never got to meet him- I only ever met him once but I want you to know he would’ve loved it. His handshake wasn’t flimsy and uncaring. His gaze wasn’t ’let’s get this over with’ it was ‘I’m humbled to be here’. I introduced myself and thanked him for making my childhood better and he with the most sincere humbleness looked at me and said “the honor is mine.” This isn’t to rub salt in your wound- this is to let you know he would’ve loved to meet you.
