The investigation has also raised concerns over Nalitex’s registered address at Hifadhi House in Nairobi, where journalists reportedly could not locate a physical office matching the company. The company’s postal address has reportedly been shared with an established auditing firm and property interests linked to the Ruto family. The concerns largely centre on the reported links involving the company’s accountant, telephone contact and registered address. The controversy has intensified because the police uniform tender is potentially worth billions of shillings, with reports putting individual working sets at about KSh25,000 and ceremonial sets at around KSh30,000, excluding boots.
