According to APF spokesperson Shailendra Thapa, authorities recovered Rs 92,68,505 in cash from those arrested. Dhading District Police said it received information about the incident and immediately deployed a team to the location, where several people were taken into custody along with the recovered cash. Rastriya Swatantra Party lawmaker Ashika Tamang, elected from Dhading-1, had also raised the issue on social media, alleging that people had broken open the flood-swept bank safe and distributed the money.
