we had a principal in the 90's who used to do "outlandish stunts" to get the student body just to read a certain amount of books. he was a solid person. he learned i was being bullied at school and outside of it. the issues at school stopped, but outside? nope...he suggested to my mom i take up martial arts. (we were poor couldnt afford it.) he also taught muay thai, so he paid for my enrollment in the class, with the understanding i wouldnt use it to harm just defend myself. i will forever thank this fella. such an amazing human being.
