⛵️ FIRST TIME SAILING & CAPTAIN FOR A MOMENT 🌊✨ Yesterday I tried something completely new: sailing. Three hours on the water taught me that every adventure brings a different experience. I discovered very quickly that my body was not a fan of being inside the cabin. 😂 The constant movement from side to side brought dizziness, nausea and a headache, and for a while I felt like I was going to be sick. But then something interesting happened… When I took the helm and became captain for a little while, I actually felt better. ⛵️ Outside, feeling the fresh air, looking toward the horizon and concentrating on navigating the boat changed the experience completely. I smiled, breathed deeply and enjoyed the moment. Those long, conscious breaths became my little anchor whenever the nausea returned. 🌬️💙 I also learned that a sailboat is VERY different from the powerboats I've experienced before. Feeling the boat heel with the wind was completely new to me! Would I become a sailor? Probably not. 😂 Would I choose to experience it once rather than never know what it feels like? Absolutely. Life isn't only about finding the things we love. Sometimes it's about being curious enough to try something new, discovering what isn't for us, laughing about it afterward and keeping the beautiful memories anyway. Yesterday I sailed.
