Why the secrecy though? Why the delay? Why stop journalists getting to the area? Tibetans are desperate to find out the fate of their relatives. Why is information so sparse? Were the Chinese monitoring the glacier and why did they not provide any warning? China prides itself on its technology but they couldn’t predict this - or is it because it is Tibet and they just don’t care. We know how cheaply they consider Tibetan lives to be. This is shocking behaviour from an appalling regime.
