I have an autistic sibling and autism isn't a behaviour or characteristic it's a mental disability. You can't keep using the fact that 'its okay they're just a bit autistic' to make up for things. You tell them what's right and wrong just like everyone else

I've been a caregiver for all walks of life. People saying Autism is not an excuse, are wrong. And then blaming the parents or writing "I'm autistic, it's not an excuse" this child probably can't speak let alone write a sentence explaining anything about himself. stop trying to compare your disability. Imagine being a parent with a child that does things like this and all you want is for them to have life experiences, not knowing what's going to set them off or trigger them to run. & trust me, when they run, they run, good fkn luck. Some kids are quite literally in their own world. And some are mentally set back to younger ages. He could be 10 with the mind of a 2 year old.
