@fakewhutt: I’ve been a silent follower of Toni Fowler for more than years and honestly this is so sad for me to do. I even cried about this last night because I never thought I’d reach the point where I’d have to unfollow her. I used to genuinely dislike her because of what happened before. I couldn’t understand how someone could do that to another woman. But after a few months something changed. I started seeing a different side of her. I started liking her following her social media and supporting her because I saw the changes she made in her life. I saw how she seemed to grow, change and become someone people could relate to and appreciate. What surprised me the most was how I eventually started seeing a little bit of myself in her not because we went through the exact same things but because I could relate to some of the struggles she went through and at times, to the way she handled certain problems. What disappointed me the most is how it seems like she’s defending someone who was allegedly involved in a situation similar to what she herself experienced and even more ironic because she was also involved as a third party in the same person’s relationship before. Now she’s saying she was wrong, that she doesn’t want to “hurt” the woman she hurt before but makikisawsaw na lang sya because everything is monetized anyway. But girl… if you keep talking about the situation, defending certain people and bringing the issue back into the spotlight, aren’t you still hurting the same person you said you don’t want to hurt? You can say you’ve learned from your mistakes but accountability should also mean knowing when to stop. Sometimes, taking a step back and choosing silence is more respectful than continuing to explain, defend or justify things. I love you, Toni. But this is me signing off. I love Toni 🥺 I’ve been silently following her too and she even became my takbuhan whenever I needed something to calm me down. I genuinely believed in her growth and saw myself in some of the things she went through. But seeing her lowkey defend Yumi, mock Jelai’s friend and still involve herself in the issue while saying “makikisawsaw na rin ako kasi monetized naman ako” is just disappointing.
