I can’t stand Raymond. He was right for not buying the dress, but he was wrong for how he treated his daughter. He should have had an honest conversation with his daughter about the expense instead of blowing at her, (which he did because he was frustrated with Peggy). “Because I said so” teaches her nothing about the situation at hand. They should have looked for alternative affordable options elsewhere with a budget in mind.

250 is not cheap for a dress that you're just gonna wear once and I understand she wanted them to look nice but you could be on a budget and still look nice and her referencing adults in the way they dress for a child is ridiculous cause I've never seen children dress like that ever maybe high school kids
