Hard work rarely pays off, i have seen a guy at my work doing fk all at work, big mouth to leadership and thrash talking about the company, takes a day off whenever he feels like it and hes been doing it for years and now he is getting promoted😂

I have literally had this happen and saw it happen. When I was young and naive, I was happy to help and take on new tasks. Then I quickly learned the reward for helping and doing extra work is just more work. Sadly it took me 3 jobs before I finally saw it is an everywhere problem, not just 1 or 2 bad jobs.

I left my job and they LITERALLY hired 3 people. They asked me to come back. I doubled my rate and work them in between other clients now. Same job, double pay. And I make triple at other clients.
