one of the best things i ever heard it was from a female police officer " I dont think you have mental health health issues or substances abusive problems , you have a husband problems. She was there to arrest me for mental health, every other tome it had been male police officers , they all believed the anonymous phone calls.

Went from being bed bound and sick all the time, to living and working full time, still sick, but no longer stuck in the bed, I’m functioning ! I did not realize how being with someone like that could make me feel so bad mentally and physically until I left

I remember a time the cops came and my ex said I was menopausal and just being emotional. They told me(he was intoxicated) to sleep it off. They all laughed at me as I cried. This was a dv call!! When they left he still tried to grope me thinking he did something right and deserved happy time.😩🥹

my boyfriend is amazing. he takes good care of himself & his home, is loyal & caring. does chores without asking. my ex of 17 years wouldn't help me & would get upset when I told him I didnt want to kiss him because he hadn't brushed his teeth in a week. the bars in hell. I see my boyfriend washing my dishes unprompted and I want to tear his clothes off 😆
