@bipolar_brave: Because mania can impair the prefrontal cortex (judgment) and can inflame the amygdala (fear), the brain cannot logically deduce why everything feels so intense. To make sense of the sensory discomfort, the brain builds a persecutory delusion.

Oh my god my ex went through this and it traumatized me. He was running across the parking lot that someone was after him then when I freaked out (he tried jumping in my car window) he was running from me to strangers. The cops took him to hospital he had heart rate of 140bpm. It was so scary.

Y’all have to do like major research. I have bipolar type one and you bet your ass as soon as I came down and got organized in my brain again I was reading and doing research and doing all the things. All of this stems from mainly trauma in the way, the brain works, and sometimes bipolar disorder can come out at specific times usually it comes out in your teens or a little later. Mine happened after my mom passed away. It happened a few days to a week after. Grandiose thoughts, suicidality, you feel like you’re in a movie, there’s so many things that you feel. The delusions were absolutely crazy and it all had to do with my mom. A lot of it based on what you’ve experienced with your trauma and fear in all the bullshit that ignited the flame. Once again everybody’s different but look into it.

and abusers, narcissists, and stalkers target people with bipolar, borderline, or psychotic disorders for precisely this reason. Once the victim goes to the psych ward, whatever reason you went to the psych ward, even if it's a normal depressive episode. They say you're crazy, and were making it all up, and all the rumors they spread about you were true. All your friends, who are your friends because they were fellow victims who connected with you? Just manipulated by you into believing your delusion. And you'll have to spend years, and double the amount of witness you've already amassed, to be able to safely exist in public again. He actually manipulated and coached me unknowingly into getting misdiagnosed with borderline so he could use it against me, turns out I actually had ADHD the whole time.
